Tarkovksy really was a genius
After watching this it's confirmed.
One of the best debut features ever.
Definitely, this debut rivals that of Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men.
But in my opinion he's the greatest director who ever lived. A man with an almost flawless eye for composition.
I think the only thing that held him back was his incredible intelligence that often made his films seem somewhat overly-affected (I'm not of this opinion).
