I'm having trouble with my VHS tape of this movie. After Loues wins the marathon and receives the award, Costa kisses him and has their picture taken. Then it suddenly came to the scene where Loues rests in his bedroom half naked and a fellow runner tells him he's been dreaming or something like that. So what happens to Costa and Loues after the marathon? I believe there are about 15 minutes cut away from my tape. Can someone explain the ending for me? I enjoyed the movie though, and was overwhelmed by Jayne's beauty.

Costa tells him that there is a girl who deserves to be standing next to him--meaning Christina. Loues then basically passes out from exhaustion. Then Loues wakes up to the guy telling him he had been dreaming and Loues thinks it all was dream...but it wasn't. He runs to where the athletic event was and finds Christina there and all is well.

I agree with you about how Jayne looks in this. It is totally incredible. She had just given childbirth to her THIRD child not long before this was filmed. This is actually one of my favorite Jayne movies!

Oh I do too! It is shown sometimes on Fox Movie Classics and I had it put on DVD from that and it is really good quality. Supposedly there was to be a 3 movie DVD Jayne box set sometime this year but I haven't heard anything else about it. I would love for Fox to include this gem!
