Why aren't Hayley's films getting star treatment?

It seems to me that if a bit more attention were paid the Hayley Mills oeuvre could be sold to an entire generation of film-lovers.

Castaways is the second of Hayley's movies I've seen recently on DVD that should have been released in widescreen but are only available in full screen / pan & scan versions (the first was "The Trouble with Angels"). I purchased "Castaways", but hesitate to purchase "Summer Magic" because of the lackluster presentation by Disney.

Furthermore, there are no extras. Why not have Hayley herself introduce the films and possibly add commentary?

I realize these movies aren't critical favorites, but to the many Hayley Mills fans they deserve better treatment.

i grew up on these old films & i agree they should have widescreen versions & more features. but at least they put them on dvd finally. and also summer magic is a great movie, one of my favorites of hers. i liked it better(much better)than the trouble with angels. truly great!

I love The Troube With Angels! It is probably my favorite Mills film. Rosalind Russell's moving monologue about her past as a French designer's assistant alone is worth buying it. :-)

He carries illegal weapons, drives fast cars, and wears clothes obviously designed by a homosexual.

For the early Disney ones. I blame Disney. They put there effort on the animation and leave the live ones alone.
