A joke

I'm pretty certain that anyone who seeks out this short film today are doing so due its listing in the book 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. This is one of quite a few preposterous entries in the book. I can guarantee that for every 10 people you would ask to watch this film 9 would switch it off within 5 minutes. Taken within the context of when it was made I won't knock the fact its creative but if you are watching something that lets your mind wander and if you find yourself singing to keep up your spirits you know you are watching something completely devoid of entertainment and instantly forgettable. You could try and speculate about its influence e.g. did Terry Gilliam have access to this before doing the artwork for Monty Python or did it influence the animation within Laloux's La Planete Sauvage but the answer is probably no on both accounts. I think very few films are deserving of a rating of 1/10 but I still only give this 2/10 with the extra mark for the creative element. I am now inside the last 200 films in the aforementioned book and I can safely say there are at least 30+ shorts or films that have no place in a book of such a title.

Oh dear.. with a great deal of regret, I have to agree.
I do not usually like to comment on films I've not liked due to the fact I didn't get them..Also (before I get the usual barrage of 'get back to watching transformers 3 you moron', I do like 'different' film. I liked 'Meshes of an afternoon, 'Wavelength' for example.. but this? sorry.
