Boring film

I like John Wayne, but tried to watch this film today and could not make it through it. Why do so many people love this film? To me it's nothing more than a bunch of chain smokers chasing wild animals in Jeeps and making a lot of noise, with two hot women tagging along. That's it. The best part of this film is watching the actors smoke, to see how natural it was for them, and thinking about how prevalent smoking was in 1961. They should rename this film "Cigarette Smokers On Safari (And 2 Girls With Foreign Accents)". It would pretty much sum up this embarrassment in The Duke's canon.
