Whoomp! There It Is

In the scene where Dallas is named Mama Tembo and has a song written in her honor, there is a repeated phrase in the song that sounds eerily like the refrain from Tag Team's 1990s hit "Whoomp! There It Is." Has anyone who's familiar with this film and that song noticed the similarities? And is it too late for the natives to sue Tag Team for plagiarism?
