Horrible movie

It shows how zoos used to acquire their animals.

I hated all the capture scenes: it's obvious the animals were stressed, even when they were simply being chased.

And the staged stunts were just as bad, like having the baby elephant run through the yard filled with goats just to see everyone run after them.

I'm assuming the dead elephant (the baby's mother) was killed just for the sake of the movie?

I especially hated the scene where the monkeys are captured using explosives. It was obvious the rocket was pretty much a bomb, and that it more than likely killed some of the monkeys (either directly or frightened them to death). Then the cutting down of the tree probably resulted in more monkeys getting crushed. Just looking at the cast as they gathered up monkeys you could see that there were dead - not just stunned but dead - monkeys.

Stupid movie.

I'm betting you have had more than a few cheeseburgers for lunch in your day. Hamburger meat comes from animals too

None of the animals that were captured appeared to be injured.

The "dead" monkeys you think you saw were more likely fake prop monkeys.

Relax your sphincter. Animals can experience stress and walk away just fine, just like you and I do every day.
