There are some rough edits, and I could do without the English dub

but overall this is a great film--plenty of atmosphere, a good story, nice locations and sets, etc.

I'm surprised there are not more posts on the message board.

I'm watching TCM's version, subtitled wishing for dubbing. I also expected more conversation here, but I guess this is the sort of film skipped by the younger generations.

The Image DVD has both the English dub and the original language track -- but unfortunately no subtitles.

It definitely works better in the original French audio, which is what the actors were speaking.
