Inspiration for Beverly Hillbillies?

Follow That Dream (FTD) was released in April 1962, and "The Beverly Hillbillies" (TBH) TV show started in Fall 1962.

The basic plot (naive country folks repeatedly and unintentionally outsmart city slickers), was used throughout TBH. FTD even had a banker who assisted the country folks, just like Mr. Drysdale in TBH.
