This film has undergone some time ; so when it comes to pc it is trapped "back there" in 1962.
Having said that,5 Weeks is innocuous fun for the whole family.It exudes a bit of charm and MISS Eden is great looking and gets into the festivities along w\Red Buttons.

Peter Lorre appears to be tongue in cheek and he's always dependable ; and lest we forget there is the legendary Sir Cedric who looks a little "long in the tooth"

There is imagination on display,but,alas,some hokum too.

All in all,not a great film,but a decent one-and i still contend-a frolicksome traipse w\Jules Verne 1st novel in tow !

...Humour is laced throughout and i would call it bemusement or even amusement.

It works well in a family film fare such as this and that is part of the fun as well;

Fabian,Lorre has that deadpan going on,Cedric is understated(fave:jiggery poggerty).

Haydn is a prig,but it fits him.

Buttons is tops here and tap dances across his scenes and 'round the Globe !
