different theme song?

I have a strong memory of watching this film when it first came to tv. In my memory, instead of the Henry Mancini song, "Experiment in Terror," the theme was "Harlem Nocturne," later used as the theme of Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer.

Does anyone know if this is the case--perhaps the broadcast rights to the original theme were unavailable when it first came to tv?
