1962-1967: Sean Connery stars as James Bond in Dr. No, FRWL, Goldfinger, Thunderball and YOLT

1969: George Lazenby plays James Bond in OHMSS

1971: George Lazenby returns amin Diamonds are Forever, which is a direct sequel to OHMSS. Telly Savalas returns as Blofeld and David Hedison plays Felix.
Lazenby’s performance receives positive feedback, however he steps down from the role as he does not want to live the lifestyle and pursue other roles. He is eventually replaced by Roger Moore.

1973-1979: Roger Moore stars as James Bond in LALD, TMWTGG, TSWLM and MR. After TMWTGG fiasco, Harry Salzman leaves MGM, AU and EON after selling his shares. After MR, Roger Moore steps down as Bond due to his age.

1981-1985: Michael Billington plays James Bond in FYEO, Octopussy, and AVTAK.
His performance receives positive reviews with critics saying that he has Connery’s roughness and a bit of Moore’s humour
1983 is the Battle of the Bonds, against Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again, but Octopussy wins that box office battle. After AVTAK, Billington quits the role to focus on TV roles and threaten to avoid being typecast.

1987-1991: Timothy Dalton stars as Bond in TLD, LTK and The Property of a Lady. In 1992, MGM/UA, who had distributed the Bond films, was sold to Qintex, who wanted to merge with Pathe Communications. All of the Bond films, which had been available on VHS since 1982, were leased to Pathe at lower than market value, without consulting Danjaq who were the copyright holders of the Bond films. Dalton stepped down from the role after losing interest.

1995-2004: Pierce Brosnan plays Bond in Goldenye, TND, TWINE, Beyond the Ice and Everything or Nothing. He wanted to do a sixth but was dismissed by EON due to his age.

2006-2021:
Daniel Craig plays James Bond in Casino Royale, QoS, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time to Die.
