It seems based on when i start reading your list that your all for a good script but then Die Another Day is number 6? its like smacking a wall when you read that.

Explain please.

reply

That was three years ago. Its changed a little since then. Basically I love DAD because it fun as hell. Sure it has its flaws but it fully entertaing and carries some great action thoughout.

New list - http://www.imdb.com/list/ls002952293/

reply

Okey i understand, it just felt a little out of place based on the list but im also glad you like The World Is Not Enough so much thats a great film, i wonder why the bad rap it has.

reply

TWINE has to be one of the most underrated movies ever. I dont get why it gets a bad rap either. Im guess a lot of it has to do with Denise Richards. Shes hot but she is indeed horribly miscast.

reply

Yes indeed but thats not that big of a problem that the movie should be as underrated as it is.. Great Bond, great story, great villains, nice song, great pre title sequence and it was good to see Robbie Coltrane again. Desmonds last movie also.

Dont get it one of the better Bond films for sure

Its shocking.. positively shocking.

reply

there is only some i can put a precise order on but to give you the general idea...

My Top 6 Bond films...
1.Casino Royale (2006) (this is the clear #1 Bond film if you ask me)
2.GoldenEye (1995)

my 3rd through 6th (in a rough order)...
3.Goldfinger (1964)
-.Licence To Kill (1989)
5.Dr No (1962)
-.Die Another Day (2002)

My 7th through 12-ish (in no order)...

-Quantum of Solace (2008)
-Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
-The World Is Not Enough (1999)
-The Living Daylights (1987)
-Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
-From Russia With Love (1963)

My 13-ish through 18th (in no order) (although it's possible some of these could interchange with some of the above in the 7th-12th areas)...

-The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
-You Only Live Twice (1967)
-The Man With The Golden Gun (1974)
-Octopussy (1983)
-A View To A Kill (1985)
-Moonraker (1979)

The Bottom Bond films (in no order)...

-Thunderball (1965) (Connery's weakest Bond film. the underwater scenes dull down the overall film as if that could have been fixed it might have been solid)
-For Your Eyes Only (1981) (Moore's weakest Bond film)
-Live & Let Die (1973)
-On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) (to bad though as Diana Rigg was solid)
-Never Say Never Again (1983)

The only Daniel Craig movie I've seen is Skyfall, which I didn't really care for. Haven't seen the other Craig movies; to keep it simple, though, these rankings are for the original 20 movies before the reboot, and do not include the non-EON Bond films.

Based on my personal tastes, listed from 'worst' to 'best'...

20. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
19. Die Another Day
18. Moonraker
17. Thunderball
16. The World Is Not Enough
15. Tomorrow Never Dies
14. Octopussy
13. Diamonds Are Forever

7. Live And Let Die
6. Dr. No
5. The Spy Who Loved Me
4. From Russia With Love

- My biggest problem with the latter two, is that they piss on the franchise unintentionally. So does my number 22, although not very well but at least it is intentional..

I only like when Sean Connery is doing Bond, but I have seen a FEW of the newer ones with Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig...

Top 3:

3. Dr. No (Even though the movie isn't perfect, there is a huge indescribable nostalgia to it when I watch, therefore, still very watchable)
2. Goldfinger (Two of the best villains I've ever seen)
1. From Russia With Love (The acting is great, the plot is seriously engaging and oh my god, the train fight scene... it's fantastic!)

Worst:

Quantum Of Solace (Didn't hate it, but it was... meh.)
Never Say Never (The plot is terrible, Sean Connery hasn't got the charm anymore and the music is awful)
