Not THAT bad as these things go

A surprising number of well-known 'oldies' like "Duke of Earl" and of course numerous Twist songs. (Well, well-known to an oldster like me!) Kind of cute, and I sang along as I did my housework this a.m.

I too like this movie for its music. I had taped it to watch later. When I went to tape over it, I decided I wanted to keep the first two songs by Chubby Checker, The Dovell's "Bristol Stomp" (love it), and especially Vic Dana's moving rendition of "Little Alter Boy." I was only 2 when this movie came out, but I too appreciate it for what it is: a time capsule and a showcase for some good songs and singers. Forget the plot and the inadequate acting.

I just finished it now (first viewing). I give the music a 10/10, and the plot a 2/10. Same goes for Twist Around the Clock, which I watched before this one.

BTW, I love the song "Bristol Stomp", too. Also "Duke of Earl".
