Wonderful movie

I don't know why I started thinking about this movie, I haven't seen it in about 20 or 30 years, but some of the sequences were etched in my brain. Very effective filmmaking. So I rented it today from Amazon for $2.99 and I was riveted every minute. The scenes I remembered were powerful but there were others I'd forgotten equally as good. Lili Palmer was so wonderful, so pretty, so under appreciated. Too bad it isn't shown anywhere anymore.

This is one of my top 2 or top 3 movies of all time. It always manages to deliver.

Rented this great gem on Amazon as well. Since it is not one of the more popular WWII films..It doesn't really have much action and battle scenes but it is very realistic and gives somewhat of a glimpse in what actual people lived under Nazi rule..Hitler Youth routinely reported adults BTW.
