lost in translation?

Is it just me or does this movie remind anyone else of lost in translation. I havnt seen LIT in over a year and I didnt even like it very much but I could really imagine sofia coppola getting ideas from this movie. In my opinion cleo from 5 to 7 is SO much better, but some scenes really reminded me of LIT. Anyone else think so?

I agree! I didn't think about that, but now that you mention it I think you're right.

I don't see it....but I could see Sofia Coppola making a film like this, had it not already been made.

In any case, Cleo and LIT are great.

It's weird because I thought that this film remember "Before Sunsire" and "Before Sunset", specially when Cleo met that funny man; it's totally Jesse and Celine walking through Europe and talking about almost everything. :)

Coincidentally, there is a thread on the board of Before Sunrise dealing with movies that take place over the course of one night or a similar timeframe:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112471/board/nest/55240585?p=1.
Just added Cléo to that list.

I also thought that Linklater had to have been influenced by that bus ride when making Before Sunrise.

"Why do you find it so easy?"
"It's never BEEN easy!"

Not only does it remind me of LOST IN TRANSLATION, but the main actress bears a striking resemblance to Scarlet Johanssen.

It felt to me like The Fire Within crossed with Before Sunrise (the last half-hour).

I haven't seen this film, but the plot description makes me think that Blake Edwards cribbed a lot from it for his 1986 Jack Lemmon / Julie Andrews movie "That's Life!".
