what was the name and subject of the musical/dance performance about one third through the film? Children singing while a professional dancer did a semi-comical performance. If the lyrics are known, please post them.

Sorry, I can't help, Diddymuck, except that I remember the song and the dance were about a sparrow's funeral. I just wanted to reply because there is so little action on the board for this magnificent film.

Actually I was referring to the song sung by the children just before the one you mention.

Oh, right. Sorry, I don't think I know. I've lent my copy to a friend, when I get it back I will watch again and pay particular attention. It's certainly a film you can watch many, many times.
