I thought this movie was dated and a little hokey, even provincial. Does anyone think that a remake is possible? I mean, using themes like why people get involved in the relationships they do. I wonder if they could use a Nancy Friday book as a jumping off point, but not pornography. Or are there pictures like this already?

There's Doctor's Wives (1971) with Dyan Cannon, Rachel Roberts, Diana Sands,
Cara Williams, Janice Rule. It's a soapy and unintentionallly funny look at the sex lifes of well doctors' sexually frustrated wives. It features Kristina Holland as a student researching sex. It's livelier than The Chapman Report. And there's Kinsey with Liam Neeson as the sexologist though it's rather dull.

I agree. Why remake this film at all? The once racy material is ridiculously tame today. I've seen afternoon soap operas on TV that are more explicit than this! This was just made to take advantage of the fact that they were actually allowed to talk about sex in movies. In the 1950s it was a very taboo subject.

The movie was probably already dated soon after it was made. I'm not a big fan of remakes anyway but sometimes an updated version of a good movie might be interesting. An update of this movie would be verging on porn because the filmmakers would want to show a lot more than I personally would want to see. Oh yeah, and it was pointless; that part would likely survive into a newer version.
How? Women are now like men when it comes to sex, for all the good and bad that implies.
