I recorded the film last time it ran on TV but the recording stopped before the end (and I've never seen it). How does it go after Vénus and Cartouche's men help him escape and she's being taken away by soldiers? I understand she takes a bullet for him and dies, but what does the film end on exactly?
shareActually, the ending was the best part and the only scene I remembered from seeing the movie as a kid. After she bites the bullet, he lays her out on a table and covers her with stolen jewellry. Then he wraps her up in a cloak and puts her inside the carriage of the marquis, drives it to a lake, and pushes it in. Kind of like a Viking funeral without the fire.
