Jessie Royce Landis Line

When the girls are getting sloshed, deciding whether or not to go claw Kim's eyes out, Jessie orders yet another round and is annoyed by the waitress. She then makes a comment about how "bad help is since the Kennedy's got in office", or words to that effect. I guess her character was supposed to be a Republican, but what else can be inferred? Thank you.
