Did Stroud have Homosexuality?

I haven't watched the movie but it seems like it would be a good one, but I don't watch movies where the leading character/characters have homosexuality and it is portrayed openly, and is if there is nothing wrong with it. So could someone let me know if that is the case with Stroud in this movie or is he of normal sexuality, if so I will watch! Thank You in advance.

Nobody "has" homosexuality!
Do you "have" heterosexuality?
Given that the film was made in the 1950s, I'll give you three guesses whether it openly displays homosexuality or not.
Lots of films have homosexuality in. I wouldn't watch any just to be sure.
I'd stay home and not watch or do anything.

You know humans originally caught homosexuality from birds. Maybe that's how Stroud got it.

That's true! I think it's called homonian flu and is rather contagious. The OP needs to be alert to, but not alarmed by its presence.

Yes Stroud was homosexual. He was also a deranged psychopath who had to be isolated to prevent him from attacking the other inmates attacking and guards. I won't say he was "gay" because he certainly wasn't happy, and gay is a positive term that has to do with a person's sexual orientation. He certainly wasn't the kindly old man as portrayed in the film. But if it had portrayed him accurately he wouldn't have been a sympathetic character to say the least.

It seems that you have primitivism. Even if you don't condone homosexuality why not watch the movie? Thats like not watching a movie in witch a character like rock music just because you like pop. Are you afraid you will become gay if you watch this movie 

There is nothing in the film to suggest that he was a homosexual. If anything, he was hung up on his idealization of his mother (who ultimately betrays him). The first murder that he committed was over a woman. Then he was in and out of trouble in prison because of his extremely asocial, independent personality. The second murder was because prison officials prevented him from seeing his mother when it wasn't 'visiting day' when she arrived. If anything, he suggested being asexual and unable to love anyone or anything except his mother and his birds. I have not read anything about the real man, but this film is one of Lancaster's best.

Very good performances from the rest if the cast.
