Durante's stunts?

Probably a stupid question,I know, considering Jimmy Durante was about 70 at the time, but was that really him doing the semi acrobatic solo clown routine early in the film? It really looks like him,but I know he had a stunt double (for which scenes,I don't know).

I was just watching the blu-ray -- gave up after less than half an hour out of boredom -- and I'll bet anything that was a double for Durante. I've got a 70" screen and the blu-ray is quite clear, and I'm sure it's not him, and the double's schnozzola, whether natural or glued on, is not big enough, and the rest of the face doesn't seem like the great man's. Not a stupid question -- we all like to be reassured in our uncertain beliefs. I saw lots of Jimmy on TV in the 50s (Colgate Comedy Hour, I think it was), and he never showed acrobatic finesse. He could do a few simple vaudeville-type steps, that's it. And this film was made about ten years after the live TV appearances.

I didn't know there was a Blu-Ray version? Anything different in extras?

Buy it for the picture quality: absolutely superb.
