VERY CONFUSED RE: Antoine and Collette
I found this movie very confusing when viewing as a bridge between 400 Blows and Stolen Kisses. Christine has the same last name as Collette, and exactly the same dynamics of relationship to our hero, not to mention the same exact unusually friendly relations of our hero with her parents. But her name is different. It seems clear to me that Christine is supposed to be the same person that Antoine falls in love with in "Antoine and Collette". But if that was Truffaut's intention, WHY change her name? What is he trying to convey?
Am I stupid?
PLEASE HELP
