I'm watching this episode, 'The Russian Prisoner', right now. In fact I was just at the fight scene in Simon's room. I noticed something that didn't look right so I ran the tape back and watched it again. Sure enough. Apparently, one of the stunt men got caught running from the right of the screen to off camera on the left. It was probably Simon's double because he wasn't wearing the white trench coat one of the Russian goons was wearing and he was much too thin to pass as the other Russian goon. Still, it was a funny fight scene. Like when the woman hits the white trench coat guy in the head with her purse. You can tell that it barely even grazes his head and his head snaps back like he was hit with a sledge hammer. TOO funny!! Then, when I saw Simon with the cup of hot coffee in his hand and the big goon behind him with his gun pointed at Simon's ear, I shouted "Throw the coffee in his face Simon!". Of course, Simon immediately obliged me. I LOVE these old shows. I also agree with an earlier commenter of this episode that the writer, Leslie Charteris, was something special. With a Chinese father, a British mother and having been born in Singapore, Charteris had quite background. He was also one of the earliest members of Mensa, the high IQ organization, which was formed in Oxford, England in 1946.
