Moore really overused stunt men

Now that we have DVRs and can slow down and pause frames, it's obvious that he used stunt men for almost everything. Not just fight scenes, but even if he had to dash just a few steps to get to his car. They were really pampering him.

It worked. He lived a long relatively good health life. It's Good to be The Saint. As Bond I am sure it was even worse or better for him.

One Hollywood actor insisted on doing his own stunts until he asked one of the crew who a crestfallen looking man near the set was.

Crew member told him the man was crestfallen because he was the actor's stuntman and the company was considering letting him go because he had nothing to do. The star was costing him his living.

I wonder who the actor was and whether he then allowed the stuntman to work.

I expect the stuntmen were glad of the work.
