Richard Keith (Little Ricky)

I see here that he played "Little Boy" in an episode called "Lucy The Process Server" in season 2. However, I cannot identify him in the episode, unless he is one of the extras in the train station scene. Maybe his part was cut?

I asked this very same question on the I LOVE LUCY board earlier this year and somebody answered it for me; now that I own THE LUCY SHOW season two set I have the episode. Keith is indeed an "extra" in the train station scene, when Lucy tells Vivian "You stay here while I look..." Lucy then walks out the door and a woman in a fur and a young boy walk in at the same time, the boy is Keith. It's literally a blink and you miss it moment. According to the DVD guest cast info, he apparently had a small part in the episode, probably just a line or two in this scene but the episode ran long and his part was cut although they kept his name in the credits for the episode. It's shocking-sad to see Lucy walk right pass "Little Ricky" what a missed moment for a nice little reunion between these two. I don't know why the show never used Keith again - according to same dvd, he and Desi Arnaz Jr regularly entertained the studio audience that season playing drum duets as a "warmup" act for the show.

I'm watching episode after reading your reply and I think the saddest thing was Ms Ball had her head turned in the oppiset direction and probley didn't even see Keith

I agree---it's very sad. Funny as it might seem to admit, it almost makes me want to cry just thinking about it, cause these characters seemed so real and they really make me feel things.

But, I guess the feeling at the time was that any sort of reunion would make people too too emotional and start to resent Lucy's new show and the new widow-living-with-other-kids set-up. And they probably just didn't want to take that chance on igniting any kind of backlash to the new program.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

I know Lucille Ball's two kids, Luci (she played Chris' friend Cynthia) and Desi, Jr. (billed as Desi Arnaz, IV, and played a cub scout) was in episodes.
