I watched this as a child with my father

It was around 1965, I think. I watched this on our old B&W TV set with my father almost every week. I think it was into the third season. I now have every single episode made and am working my way through the entire series.

I do remember bits and pieces of a few episodes. I cant wait until I come across those. One in particular still is fresh in my mind 50 years later.

It was when the squad was taken prisoner and held in a makeshift camp. There was electricity. The guys made a deal of washing their clothes and then dumping the wash water just outside the wire. When a guard came by that night, one of the prisoners offered him a smoke. When the guard grasped the fence the other prisoners completed the circuit to the only electrical wire they had (a single light bulb). They had run the wire to the metal fencing. The guard was standing in the old wash water and was electrocuted because he was so well grounded.

That made a huge impression on me as a child. My dad laughed gleefully when the *beep* 'got it". He mimicked the actor too .."Bzzt! Gak!" LOL. My dad was a cut up.

Yet another tobacco related death.

So did I. One of the best memories I have of my Dad (and there are many) was watching TV with him, with shows such as Combat, McHale's Navy, The Ed Sullivan show, etc.
