Hitchcock Hour marathon on the weekend of Hitch's birthday ! (August 13)

Get your recorders ready!

The Decades Channel is celebrating Alfred Hitchcock's birthday on August 13, 14, and 15th by showing endless episodes of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. (They did a similar thing in April to remember the date he died).

The marathon starts at 12 noon on Saturday the 13th and goes non-stop through the 15th.

Since Me-TV only shows the Hour show once a week now, this is a great time to feast your eyes on your favorite eppys.

Thanks in advance for your help.
As you know, episodes include intros and afterwords by Hitchcock.
There are also further comments halfway of the show.
I am looking for some of them, sometimes called MIDLINE ,in:

How To Get Rid of Your Wife (# 43 )
&
A Nice Touch ( # 34 )

And, if they exist, I am deeply interested in a transcript too.
Enjoy the Marathon!
Best,
A.K.

reply

Hi Matt. I'm recording these. Perhaps I'll see if I can write up a transcript for you.

I'm recording on a DVD and am not skilled enough to upload the video to the internet from a DVD.

reply

Ah. I don't get that channel.but I can still DVR some episodes on MeTV. Sounds like a cool lineup.

If you live in a place where you can use a digital antenna, I picked up a Clear TV antenna at Walgreens on sale for about $10 (they are normally $20).

I hooked it up to the TV and my DVD recorder and it gets Decades. That's what I have to do since Comcast doesn't allow you to use recorders anyway.

Thanks Synthia! I saw the announcement last night while watching Helter Skelter on Decades. This makes me very happy. It's about time that Decades had a weekend binge that I know I'll enjoy.
I have been watching some AHPs on Netflix this past weekend. I have all of the hour ones recorded on DVD, but it will still be nice to have them on all weekend.... like the TZ marathons on SyFy. I have the whole set but I still enjoy coming to IMDb to discuss.
Hopefully, many folks will be here and watching the binge. It makes it more fun to discuss with other fans.

Thanks for this - I'm watching now. I wish they were showing An Unlocked Window and The Jar - those are my favorites. I don't think I've seen some of these in 50 years? Wow. Did I just say that?

reply

Oh yes I love those two as well. Decades showed The Jar in April and MeTV showed Unlocked Window last fall.

I just saw "Bonfire" starring Peter Falk and Dina Merrill which I had recorded during the binge.

Was really good and great performance by Falk. He played the part of a preacher who was a real sickie, and Falk nailed that part.
