Why Not An 'X-15 ' Soundtrack?

This is a fine movie. But I don't see a soundtrack listed...

It had great music....especially during that tricky re-entry sequence

(which of course had great optical effects.)

I saw this movie at age 11,when it came out...and it was very realistic.

I totally agree! The soundtrack was magnificent!

I actually own a 45" record of two selections of music from the film.

Interesting that they adapted two selections to distribute on 45 RPMs.

Perhaps they tested sales of the single and decided against marketing a soundtrack album? Just guessing there.

Maybe the distributors figured that audiences didn't want to be reminded of the drama, suspense or fright and thereby wouldn't exactly flock to record shoppes to stock up on X-15 soundtracks?
