Wonderful Performance!!

Just saw this last night, and I enjoyed it so much.

Elvis was wonderful in this role. I had always read that he really wanted
to do dramatic roles, and not just that "fluff" the Colonel and the studios
had him locked into!

The "love scene" between Elvis and Hope in the little motel room, was so moving. Elvis was so loving and tender,
I completely forgot that he was acting.

They don't do love scenes like that anymore with the real
closeness and intensity with the looking into each other's eyes.

Elvis portrayed that scene as a man who was sensitive, understanding, caring;
and LORD HAVE MERCY....HE WAS GOING TO TAKE HIS TIME!!

Not Wham, Bam, Thank you Mam!!!

I think Elvis was really "the great Lover"; because in his love scenes, he is
so natural and charming, that we women just wanted to jump right through that
movie screen and into his arms!

Elvis once said that if he had just been "Joe the Plumber", women would not
have given him a second thought. Anyone out there know a plumber who looks
like Elvis? If so, please let me know!!!

He is gone and the world does miss him; but I am comforted by the fact that Elvis believed in the
Death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, The Savior of the world; and for those of us who believe the SAME WAY;

we will see him again!!

I agree whole-heartedly with your review. The scene in the motel room was so moving...he was so tender. This is one of the best love scenes I have ever seen in a movie.

I had never seen Elvis in a serious role before. It's a shame that he let Col Parker control his acting career. Elvis could have been a great actor....this movie proves it. He was a very special man.....
