What was his crime?

I know Blakey was accused of murder but do we know any more about what he was supposed to have done? I tried to read the "Wanted" poster and unless I am mistaken, it says that he is wanted for the murder of someone with a female name and surname "Blake" so I am wondering if he killed his wife? Anyone have any information or theories?

He impersonated Jesus in England in the early 60's.

Here is the complete text of the wanted poster, which indicates that Blakey was accused of killing a closely related female (most likely his wife, but perhaps his mother, brother's wife, or even his own daughter).

In the novel, he was a housebreaker who was also jailed for manslaughter after a hit-and-run. He also killed a prison warder with a hammer while escaping prison. He's also implied to be mentally unstable and there are hints of PTSD - he says the wounds in his feet which the children take for nailmarks were caused when he shot himself in the feet with a rifle in 1942, which suggests to me he was trying to get out of fighting in WW2.
