West Side Story 1961--A 60th Anniversary screening coming up in November 2021:

Hey everybody:

FathomEvents.com, along with Turner Classic Movies, will be having a 60th Anniversary of the original (yup, you read right!) the original 1961 film version of West Side Story, sometime in November 2021, which will be re-released, nationwide, here in the United States, in select movie theatres. Hopefully, things'll be back enough to normal so that this can happen. No date has been set, nor are tickets on sale right now, but keep checking in the fathom events.com website.

Hope I've been of some help here. I'm feeling kind of excited right now!

New Info for the date: The date for the 60th Anniversary screening of the original 1961 film version of West Side Story is scheduled to be shown on Sunday, November 28th, 2021, and again, on Wednesday, December 1st. No theatre locations and/or times for showing have been set yet, however. Just thought I'd post what I've learned. There will be afternoon showings on both of the above-mentioned dates at 3:00 p. m. and at 7:00 p. m.

If they run it in a cinema near me I'd go watch it. I'm not a huge fan but I bet it would look great on the big screen.

I do plan on going to watch it, because I'm seriously looking forward to it. The nearest cinema to me is the Regal Cinema in Boston. Since I live just a stone's throw away from Boston, I'll be going to that particular theatre to see the 1961 film version of West Side Story. It's great that they're doing a 60th anniversary screening of this great golden oldie-but-keeper of a classic movie-musical!

The original 1961 film version of West Side Story looks absolutely spectacular on a great big, wide movie screen, in a real movie theatre, with the lights down low. Sharing the whole experience with a bunch of other people, whether one knows them or not. A new date for the 60th anniversary screening of the original 1961 film version of West Side Story, courtesy of fathom events.com and turner classic movies, has been added: It'll also be playing in selected movie theatres, nationwide, here in the USA, on both Sunday, November 28th, 2021 AND Wednesday, December 1st, 2021. I am excited and will more than likely attend both screenings!
