Not only does a giant squid attack Seaview, but a freakin' OCTOPUS too? Did Irwin Allen have callimare for dinner the night he wrote "Voyage"? A talentless dullard!

ha-haa. I liked how the submarine was 'electrified' just so they could knock those things off of them. I mean, what else would you use that option for?

They filmed the Octopus in reverse it not their nature do do that.

Heh, allegedly his favorite place "to dine" was Jack in the Box.

As for the tentacled creatures, well, they make good movie monsters. 
