Do the haters seek out this film?

This is a pretty obscure film. I only learned about it maybe 3 years ago. Yet, as I read through the threads, I see a fairly large number of homophobic posts. How is it that those posters are finding the film? It's probably not being shown on tv, and I'm sure there are no copies in the bins at the places where they sell DVDs.
