FLAT OUT ANIMAL CRUELTY

I was thinking the same thing. Set up the snake to be killed and the lizard against the baby gator and I am only 30 minutes into it.

I’m watching this right now on Svengoolie on MeTV but not paying too much attention to the animal fight scenes. But at the beginning Svengoolie mentioned something about scenes with animal cruelty being cut out. I wasn’t sure if he was serious or not.

Yup. It happened in The Lost World (1960) too. I like that movie but it's appalling the way they treated reptiles for b-movies back then.
