The actor John Cronin is supposedly playing Mitch Mason. The database says that John Cronin would be 57 years old (born 1904) when he played Mitch Mason. If so, he must be the youngest looking 57 year old in the movies at that time. Anyone got any views on whether there is an error here ?

shareThe actor you refer to is Joe Cronin not John Cronin and it doesn't list 'Twist Around The Clock' as one of his film credits so I think it is the wrong actor.
shareImDB doesn't always get their credits right or ignores them completely. I'm pretty sure it's the same actor. I've seen movies where certain actors are lead characters and ImDB doesn't list their credits at all for those movies.
