Tammy goes to College to get learned up so she can be good enough for Pete (the guy from Tammy and the Bachelor), she's been writing and writing him but hasn't heard a word back... and eventually gives up on him in favor of her college professor (much a better choice, in my opinion)

I saw this movie today and I immediately fell in love with it, especially with Craig Hill's character. Though sad this may sound, it 'pains' me to know that Pete had become neglectful of Tammy. -blinks- yes I'm aware that this is only a movie. Hehe, but yeah. I mean 'Pete' seemed enamoured with Tammy, so why not try to correspond with her while she's trying to fix herself up FOR him?

When I saw the movie, it was on TV, on either the WEChannel or AMC channel. I'm sure if you don't mind the crap quality, you could find it on youtube, or other online video sites.
John Gavin certainly made a wonderful leading man and Beulah Bondi was great as Annie.
I'm working backwards because I don't know who Pete is...

I felt the same way about how Pete treated Tammy especially since the first movie ended with them seeming to be so in love. But looking back on "Tammy and the Bachelor" I can kind of see why the relationship might not have lasted. In that movie Pete kept seeing Tammy as a child he had to take care of and explain things to. In Tammy Tell Me True she is still naive, but there is a maturity there, too. There is growth there. So maybe knowing this Pete lost interest. In the other movie, Pete seemed to give up too easily on things. Maybe that is why he did not write to her. As usual, he is not mature enough to face the situation and deal with it. He just chose to forget it and her.
