Another of Mr. Ingmar Bergman most BORING movie?

So God "doesn't exist" and this stupid and CRAZY girl confuses "God" with the noise of a helicopter. Interesting. And while she is out from the Stockholm's loony house, her father and brother are far worse as the real loonies and losers. Of course she is the real loser in this picture. They all should be sent to the loony house to make company among themselves. And sooo slooow! At least it cured my insomnia! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Snirf! Sgrunge! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! As I said, Swedish people: your Volvo cars are better than watching...ahooom! one of those slooooow and booooring Bergman's movies.
P.S.: Even choosing writers for the "Nobel Prize" you are quite disappointing!

I can send you my address to you if you wish. Anyway, it says something about you "threatening" me over some dumb opinion I had on a boring movie. And what if I complain to imbd or send it to the cops? [And I can do that, you know] So I wrote it. No regrets. Is up to the reader to decide if I was an idiot, like you, or a smart guy what I have written. And yes, I repeat the movie is boring, stupid over some dumb girl who needs psychiatric help, and some family members who are as clueless as her. Maybe you like to be a masochist watching these idiotic films of this guy Bergman. Only one movie of his I can respect, "The Seventh Seals". But the rest leave me cold with its idiotic "angst", people crying humourlessly over really stupid things than can be solved with a little "common sense", and they seem to lack it, and just plain boring stories masked with phony "intellectualism". No wonder I dislike most of Mr. Bergman's movies. And attacking Swedish people over Bergman as "racist"? Don't be ridiculous. If I criticize boxer Mike Tyson for his bad behavior and violence against people on the street does that make me a racist? But African Americans have given us more respectful personalities like Martin Luther King, Jr. and others like actor Denzel Washington. The same with Swedish; I like their smorgasbord [delicious!], and do like their Volvos and Saabs that are really outstanding cars. And they are also good in technology and I admire the social security system there [I am no fascist "tea baggers" and hate Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh]. But it doesn't extend to Mr. Bergman's movies and the Nobel Prize of literature. Sorry. Bye!
P.S.: Me liking "action movies"? Don't make laugh. I attack USA society for promoting these trashes of Seagal, Stallone and Schwarzenegger [and he's Austrian..his country gave us Mozart, Freud and Hitler]. But I don't waste time discussing "action movies". They are not worth my intelligence. But I am a classical music lover and read history a lot [right now reading "Firestorm: the Airwar against Nazi Germany and the Destruction of Dresden" by Marshall de Bruhl]. Bye, kid.

Keep crying baby! BWA BWA BWA! Over some dumb comments I made over a stupid movie. So what? And why do you bring this "Kurt Cobain" jerk who blew his brains out? I don't use drugs like that idiot. And I HATE heavy metal rock music. It stinks! Bye, baby boy! HA HA HA HA!

You don't seem to be the regular troll...so thou dost protest too much, methinks.

Perhaps you liked this film more than you wanted to and the conflict within you is playing itself out on the messageboard. Drama!
Bergman would approve.

HA HA HA! That's funny! No, but I hated the stupid movie!

The nonsense that the OP is spouting aside, it's too cliched and pathetic that everytime sometimes expresses a distaste over a classic movie they are branded as an imbecile that only like CGI effects or michael bay or whatever else is popular to typecast as dumb culture at the moment.

reply

It's understandible: SNOBS ARE IDIOTS! No wonder!

"Every time someone expresses a distate over a classic movie they are branded as an imbecile".

Now is that so? In my experience, it´s still mostly the ones who compose imbecilic posts that get "branded" as ones. I mean, let´s not mince words here - the OP could hardly sound more braindead if he tried. Posting critique that reads "zzzzzzzz" and calling a Bergman movie stupid while incapable of proper spelling ain´t liable to earn much respect with anyone.

I don't agree with you about Bergman in general. I've watched Smiles, Strawberries, Seal, Persona, and Whispers - all of which I enjoyed. BUT, I agree with you when you say this one was boring. I understood it, as I understood all the others, but from an aesthetic position, I did not find this film satisfying.

reply

Only "Seventh Seals" is the ONLY Bergman movie I can respect. Even "Wild Strawberries", while it has some good points, can be boring in many scenes. The rest are a punishment for non masochits, and an "enjoyment" for masochist snobs.

HHHAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAA! I have the greatest omniscience about human nature! HHHHAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAHHHHAAAAA! I got weaned off my mother's breasts too late and now I'm gonna terrorise you all with my adolescent fury! HAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAA! I'm a spoilt, puerile little bag of scrotal pus who projects his/her/it's insecurities onto other people! HAHAHA! I can add nothing of inherent value to the general discourse surrounding Bergman's films, so instead I spout cliches with the kind of apodicticity one comes to expect from nauseating little turds like me.

For the less discriminating, that was a parody of jsrrtzjr10's abortive attempt at discrediting the work of a man whose bottom he woudn't be fit to clean with his malignant tongue. Good day, you excremental parody of a sentient human being! I certainly won't be wasting my valuable time reading your cretinous response, you moral and intellectual midget! Peasant!

HA HA! So what? More idiots have seen "The Attack of the Crab Monsters" than those masochist Bergman's flicks. Eat sh-t!

reply

I'm a little confused. Why do you watch his films if you hate them so much?

reply

For the same reason a coffee and a tea taster must taste it to make a "fair" criticism [of course Bergman's fans will call my criticism "unfair", "stupid", "ignorant", and whatever. But I love the challenge!]. Doesn't that answer your question or not? And I haven't seen a Bergman's flick for months, by the way.

reply

More power to you! I wouldn't sit through a Porky's movie if someone employed me to do so. There are some things I prefer not to "taste". lol

reply

Well, I love the Looney Tunes cartoons with Porky Pig. Now, if you are referring to some stupid juvenile movies of the early 1980s with the title "Porky", well, they are among the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Now I can understand a bad "B" movie. It is harder for me to understand why some idiots give too much overpraised comments to several boring movies made by this Swedish guy Ingmar Bergman. Wish he had been a Volvo's accountant, and not a movie director.

reply

I WAS referring to the 80's Porky's films. However, we just have to agree to disagree about Bergman!

reply

Finally, and appreciation. Why I say this? I am the most hated forum member in imbd.com.. And the hate mails and insults I get! Price you have to pay to be honest with yourself! Thanks.

reply

Everything is subjective, specially film, so lets not try to force others to view it the same way one does....
If they find it boring, well that's their opinion, let them have it.

Me, for instance, I like Bergman, but some of his films tend to make me fall asleep... it's the subject matter I suppose.... they're just so deep, so psychological, and full of dreamy, lulling imagery..... sure, that could be translated to boring, but to me i'll rather call it lulling, like a lullaby.... there's a big difference between being BORED and being sleepy. :o)

I heard "Passion of Anna" is worse. I'll find out this weekend when I get it from Netflix.

reply

A Bergman film is perfect if you want to get lulled to sleep. It's a compliment.

Just out of curiosity: Tell us some movies you like.

About Bergman: I like some of his movies and some I dont. My favorite one gotta be Persona.

- He moves his lips when he reads. What does that tell you about him?

reply

The "The Three Stooges" shorts? Or 1933 "King Kong"?

reply

1933 King Kong is one of the greatest movies ever!

And the Three Stooges are frequently hilarious. I like it when Moe dresses up as Hitler or when Curly dresses up as Mammy from Gone with the Wind.

Ingmar Bergman made a lot of great movies, but I admit your feelings toward Through a Glass Darkly are similar to my feelings about Persona.
