Was Minus gay?

During the scene with the nudie magazine, Minus makes a comment that even those photos aren't enough to move him. Later on, it is implied he had an incestuous relationship with Karin.

Of course, neither of these necessarily suggest his sexual orientation. My take on him is he is unable to engage in a normal sexual relationship because of his family's psychological history. What's your take?

That's a logical explanation for Minus' actions around Karin. Clearly this is a family with a difficult history that began with the mother's death – or perhaps before.

I don't buy all this stuff about incest. It is based on Karin saying she did something bad to Minus. But she gives no details and, besides, Karin is bonkers. Bergman is not some tacky porn artist and his film rises above the need for such seedy sensation.

Was Minus gay? He is young and confused but if you feel disgusted by women at his age then you had better look elsewhere.

Having the brother and sister commit incest wouldn't make Bergman a "tacky porn artist". That they committed incest is plain enough. Karin is obviously flirting with Minus early on and she teases him and "jokes" with him that is a little out of bounds with the typical bro/sis relationship. Not only does she say she made him do something horrible but Minus is too ashamed to face his father immediately because he suspects that he knows. There's a lot of implications in this movie of sexual perversity or abuse. But my point is that having a brother and sister have sex, and off screen, wouldn't make Bergman a porn artist, which is what you seem to think.

I don't think Minus could be specifically described as gay at all. He's 17, lonely and thinks deeply.
A lot of turmoil. Being 17 is bad enough by itself. Being worried about Karin certainly doesn't help his "progress" and I think Karin is constantly aware of this and makes repeated mention of guilt feelings about Minus even before any potential incestuous activity occurred.

nope.
gays don't hate women:
the feminine gay would not hate women, he would like to be like one - at least in bed.
the masculine gay is usually disinterested in woman or bisex so they don't hate women.
