Some reviewers here comment on "Mr. Taxpayer" getting a lecture from the police on the evils of pornography. I don't remember seeing this in the MST3K version. Do they normally edit their films?

The scene is definately in the MST3K version...
"Mr. Taxpayer" is the Bird guy from Bride of the Monster and Grandpa from Teenagers From Outer Space....they greet his appearance with "This guy!" and make jokes about how - with his missing index finger....he points with his middle finger ("Hey, watch it, Buddy!")
MST3K has edited for time when they've had to. But usually it's stuff like gratuitous violence and nudity.

Yeah they started doing Sidehackers without watching it first and there was a rape scene in it and that got cut out. They stopped riffing unseen films after that episode.
shareI didn't know they used to cut the films. Suddenly, and because of that, I feel so disappointed!
shareI think MST kept to a PG friendly output when the second presenter took over. Even though the younger audience may not have got a lot of the riff-jokes, they will have loved it for it's craziness.
