I agree completely; this film was a precious gem of Cold War silliness: a bit more cerebral than "THE MOUSE THAT ROARED", but Peter Ustinov wasn't trying to be Peter Sellers. There was a special air of elegant innocence that marked Ustinov's films (and his acting), that was neatly matched by Sandra Dee, John Gavin and the rest of this odd cast, with an understated humor that lasts. It is a rare, one of a kind treat that deserves to be back out again.
The studio and Ustinov's estate might both have a say in things, but somewhere in my files is a non-commercial VHS copy of it that I can't find off hand... Still, I've been wanting a taste of Vintage Video Champagne of late, maybe I'll go digging in my "wine cellar" again very soon...
