Walter was an idiot

$6500 was a lot of money in 1961. He could have just sat on it or gone back to school. What an idiot.

Now, I don't want to ruin your thread. What did Walter say he wanted to do with it instead???

reply

His mother got $10,000 from her husband's life insurance. She put $3000 down on a small house so they could get out of their rundown apartment. She kept $500 and gave the other $6500 to her son (Walter) to put in the bank. Instead Walter "invests" the money with two other guys to open a liquor store. One of the guys he invests with runs off with the money. I would have killed him.

reply

Yep, that's just stupid.

reply

I thought he was more naive than an idiot.
