Pastoral Dance Music -- Help

I just watch the DVD of Pure Hell of St. Trinian’s that has just been released in the US. What a joy! It’s not quite as good as Blue Murder or close to Belles, yet it’s still a marvelous piece of work.
The funniest moment for me was when Butters (Thorley Walters) suddenly broke into that pastoral dance at the Ministry of Education.
Could someone tell me the name and the composer of the music he, and gradually everyone else, danced to? I know Malcolm Arnold wrote the score for the movie, but I’m (fairly) sure this tune comes from someone else, such as Ralph Vaughan Williams. Or if it is by Arnold, what is its title?
Thanks awfully.

I'd love to know this too. With my stressful job, I think I need to do that dance on a daily basis!

I have a feeling that the flower dance sequence was composed by Malcolm Arnold too. I believe that he did do some classical music pieces as well as the humorous film music. He may have copied the pastoral music style to include this piece in the film.

I am sure this tune is by Arnold. He was very versatile but always recognisable. He was one of the leading 20thc British composers, with 9 vivid symphonies, full of very good tunes and also startling drama and violence. Until recently they weren't taken very seriously but now there are several recordings. He wrote vast amounts of film music as his main source of income.
