The Wedding Poem

Peter Mann recites a poem to Ann Margaret called The Wedding Poem. Does anyone know the author of the poem and/or the source of the poem?

reply

I believe it was likely written for the film, I could find nothing in a search for the lines themselves. Here is the full poem as I transcribed it.

For her-
For whom I would walk through fire.
The great cathedrals and heavenly choir,
sings God's angelic music.
Be still, my racing heart.
She is floating toward me as a winged melody.
I burst with Spanish pride, a thousand eyes
all moist and dewy, share the lovely vision.
Behold, my bride.
