Regarding the DVD: PLEASE READ and RESPOND

Does anyone know if the DVD version has any scenes cut out?

I ran across this comment on Amazon regarding the Pit and the Pendulum DVD:

"Not the full film ... The dvd is missing one of the best scenes from the video version of the same movie: The scene where the woman is being walled up alive by Vincent Price. I really wish the people who make dvd's would put the REAL and COMPLETE VERSION of the film on the dvd and stop cutting out various scenes, whatever their reasons may be."

Does anyone know if this is true? I wanted to know, so I can find out if this version is worth purchasing. Thank you.

Sounds like that poster may have been confusing TALES OF TERROR ("The Black Cat" segment) with PIT AND THE PENDULUM. The shot of Babs Steele at the end of PIT definitely appears in the DVD version.

There is no scene of Vincent Price 'walling up' a woman in The Pit and the Pendulum. If there is where was it meant to be exactly? If anyone (as suggested in this thread) has seen this scene then describe it, at what point does it happen? His wife Elizabeth is already dead and buried in the crypt at the start of the film when her brother Francis arrives and the twist at the end has Price lock Steele in an Iron Maiden so where was this scene meant to take place exactly?

What is everyone else in this thread seeing that I did not last night when I watched the Blu-ray? Who was he meant to wall up?
