'Paris Blues' is a GREAT movie title.

It's too bad this movie is so mediocre. It has all the elements there, a great cast, city of Paris, jazz - it's OK, but with such a wonderful title, it falls short of what should be greatness.

the script might be a little weak but I don't think the movie as a whole is mediocre. it's sweet to see the love between couples in the film especially Newman and Woodward. particularly when the girls are leaving at the end because Joanne was pregnant with their middle daughter Melissa by then and seeing the light of a mothers love in her eyes again made Paul oh so happy because it meant that Nell would soon have a little playmate around. and he also again became very protective of her and the baby because the memories of her miscarriage on the honeymoon still lingered in the back of his head and if something had happened this time how would they explain it to Nell.

"why are you married to him then if you can't work with him how do you live with him?"
