Did anyone else notice that the mom (Maureen O'Hara) red headed has two blonde daughters in this version and then in the Lindsay Lohan version it's the other way around: blonde mom with two red heads?! I wonder why they chose to do that, especially since it doesn't end up that way biologically?

Yes, it does happen. I have seen it in reverse. My brother and sister-in-law are both blondes and their youngest daughter is a redhead. And I had a friend when I was a kid who had a sister with red hair even though the parents and all the other kids had jet black hair.
