So its rarely, if ever, shown so TCM shows it p/s, maybe, but definitely not letterboxed, but I have to record it because I'm interested in 50's British humour. Is it available or around letterboxed?

Yes, quite. I've letterboxed this particular one a few times in the past, never had any problems! good luck!

It's now available on DVD in the U.K. Not a bad disc at all.

In the UK it shows up occasionally on Film Four - letterboxed.
