Have looked and can't see any reference to it on this (or any other site) but I seem to remember the leading characters sitting around a camp fire, BRANDO MARLDEN $ PICKENS in particular...

One of the characters asks or states....'How did you get on?'

And BRANDO I think states....'the PICKENS (PICKINGS) have been SLIM.' This is clearly? an in joke with reference to Slim PICKENS of course, and you can even see a smug smerk on faces...am I the only one to have spotted this?

You may be thinking of "The Missouri Breaks" - a western that had Brando sitting around a campfire quit a bit as I remember (although it's been years).

In OEJ Dad asks Rio to explain how he got mixed up with a bunch of turkeys like Bob Emory (Ben Johnson) etc. Rio replies that there were slim pickings and he went with what he found.
