One Dollar DVD

Someone bought this for me for Christmas, and picked it up somewhere for exactly ONE DOLLAR. No lie. It's put out by some company called "Digiview." How did they get away with that? It's a Paramount film. Is the film out of copyright, or something?

I love westerns, and for some reason, I have never seen this one before.

It was actually quite good. A bit long maybe, but great revenge motivation, good violence, and ambiguous morality.

Face it -- Rio (Brando) could have just rode up and shot Sherrif Dad (Malden) in the first reel, but that wouldn't have been any fun.

So, he sticks around town, like some Wild West "Wild One," and messes with the sherrif's head for two hours -- getting a good whipping and a busted hand along the way. Not to mention knocking up the sherrif's daughter.

Great fun all the way.

$1 They were ripped off. This is a lousy movie. Absolute Crap

Strongly disagree. While not a great Western, this was VERY watchable, with some good acting, compelling story, good photography, etc. And I consider myself to be an EXPERT in Westerns...

If you were an expert you would totally agree with me. This film is all about Brando who can't even string a sentence together that is unstandable! Completly overated actor. The music in this film is well over the top. As for the acting come on its a western!!! Need I say more.

The reason it's a dollar is the movie has fallen out of copyright and is now public domain. Anyone can print a copy of it a sell it. Crazy.
